Getting into vacation mode

It’s been really nice being in one place. We did have to spend a lot of time stocking the fridge, doing laundry, unpacking (when I say we, I really mean mostly Mama), and we are finally all set up.

We start the morning with a trip to the local boulangerie, where we get a warm baguette, a croissant and some other fresh pastries we share at breakfast.

We sampled a couple of local boulangeries and definitely have our favourite.

The raspberry pastry was our favourite!
Then it’s pool time!

The kids invented a bunch of silly games which involve jumping in the pool while trying to catch a ball at the same time. They have various difficult levels and get really excited when the move to the next one

Dordogne river

On the second day we went for a swim in the Dordogne River

It was a lot of fun and check out the cliffs!
Epic!
And they say portions are small in Europe? This is a kids meal!!!
Aleks can now do double flips! Maia can do a single flip
In the evening we play together and swim in the pool all night – it’s 30C during the day and warm at night
